13 DAYS KENYA SAFARI AND TANZANIA SAFARI  

Day 01: NAIROBI:                                                                                

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport. Met by Diwaka Safaris representative at the Airport and transferred by our driver / guide to your Nairobi hotel. Use of room is not guaranteed before noon.  Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight at THE JACARANDA HOTEL (B/B) 

Day 02:            NAIROBI – TSAVO EAST:         

Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel by Diwaka Safaris representative at the Airport and leave for the Tsavo East National Park. Arrive for lunch at the lodge. After lunch and a short siesta, proceed for a late afternoon game drive. Return for dinner and overnight at ASHNIL ARUBA LODGE (F/B).

Day 03: TSAVO EAST – TSAVO WEST:

Early morning game drive prior to breakfast and later depart for the nearby Tsavo West National Park.  Lunch at the Camp. Proceed for an afternoon game drive and visit Mzima Springs, Shetani Lava and Chyulu Hills. Return for dinner and overnight at MAN EATERS CAMP (F/B).

Day 04:  TSAVO WEST – AMBOSELI:

Breakfast at the camp later drive to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at the Camp. Late afternoon game viewing in the Park. Dinner and overnight at AMBOSELI SENTRIM CAMP (F/B).

Day 05:  AMBOSELI – ARUSHA LAKE MANYARA

Breakfast at the Camp.  Thereafter, embark on your journey to the Kenya / Tanzania border town of Namanga to arrive late morning. Drive to Arusha for lunch. Depart Arusha to Lake Manyara national park to for an afternoon game drive and game viewing. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and birdlife. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyaras? legendary tree- climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants squadrons of banded mongoose dart between the acacias while the diminutive Kirk?s dik dik forages in then shade, pairs of klipspringer are often seen silhouetted on the rocks above a field of searing hot springs that streams and bubbles adjacent to the lake shore in the far south of the park. Dinner and overnight at KIRURUMU TENTED LODGE.

Day 06; LAKE MANYARA TO NGORONGORO CRATER
Morning game viewing and drive in Manyara. After breakfast depart to one of the natural wonders of the world, Ngorongoro crater. The Crater is one of the world's greatest natural spectacles; its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthral visitors. It borders the Serengeti National Park to the north and west. Arusha is known as the gateway to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Northern Parks. Dinner and overnight at a NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE.

Day 07: NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast you will be taken 2000ft down the crater by a 4wheel drive vehicle for a full day crater tour, picnic lunch at crater, Also referred to as ?the eighth wonder of the world? and stretching across some 8,300 sq km, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania boasts a blend of landscapes, wildlife, people and archaeology that is unsurpassed in Africa. The volcanoes, grasslands, waterfalls and mountain forests are home to an abundance of animals and to the Maasai. In the evening ascend to the for dinner and overnight at NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE..

Day 08: NGORONGORO CRATER - SERENGETI
After breakfast depart for Serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge the site of Leakey?s family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves. Meals and overnight at SERENGETI SOPA LODGE.

Day 09: SERENGETI
Full day in Serengeti plains with morning and afternoon game viewing and drive. Search for wild game you might have missed the previous game drive. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. Meals and overnight at SERENGETI SOPA LODGE.

Day 10: SERENGETI TO SIRARI BORDER – MAASAI MARA:                

Breakfast at the lodge and depart for the Isebania Sirari border with picnic lunches. Pick up from the Sirari border and drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve with a late afternoon game viewing drive enroute to the camp. Dinner & overnight at MARA LEISURE CAMP (F/B).

Day 11:  MAASAI MARA:

Early morning and late afternoon game viewing drives in this Reserve, with spectacular sceneries and diverse wildlife. Mid Morning and early afternoon relaxing at the camp or at the pool. Option of a full day Game Drive with picnic lunch can be arranged. All meals & overnight at MARA LEISURE CAMP (F/B).

Day 12:   MAASAI MARA – LAKE NAKURU:

Breakfast at the Camp and depart via Narok town to Nakuru to arrive in time for lunch at the Camp in Lake Nakuru National Park.  Late afternoon game viewing & bird watching drive. Dinner and overnight at FLAMINGO HILL CAMP (F/B).

Day 13:  MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI:      

After breakfast at the Camp, embark on your journey back to Nairobi. On arrival transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your scheduled international flight.
